We aim to build long-term business relationships with our partners based on mutual trust and mutual benefit.
As the foundation for this trusted collaboration, we also expect our suppliers to provide the highest level of transparency, adhere to applicable regulations and standards, and make exceptional efforts to meet our key social, environmental, and ethical requirements outlined below.
The following Supplier Code of Conduct defines the fundamental requirements for a collaborative partnership.
Compliance with Laws and Regulations
Our partners are required to comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations. This includes, in particular, regulations on labor law, environmental protection, health and safety, and fair competition practices.
Fair Working Conditions
WUM expects the following from our partners, among other aspects:
- Respect for human rights
- Prohibition of forced labor
- Prohibition of child labor and adherence to youth protection laws
- Equal treatment and non-discrimination: All employees must be treated equally, regardless of gender, age, ethnic origin, religion, sexual orientation, or disability.
Occupational Safety and Health
Our partners must ensure a safe and healthy working environment. This includes:
- Implementation of measures to prevent accidents
- Regular employee training
- Provision of appropriate protective equipment
- Compliance with all legal requirements regarding occupational safety and health
- Adherence to legal regulations on working hours and compensation
Support for Compliance Efforts
We comply with all laws, regulations, and ethical principles and expect the same from our partners, including:
- Anti-corruption: All forms of corruption, bribery, or unethical behavior are prohibited.
- Data protection: Confidential information must be protected and not disclosed without authorization (ensuring data protection and security).
- Competition law: Relevant antitrust and competition laws must be adhered to, ensuring fair competition.
- Protection of intellectual property
Support for Environmental Protection Efforts
Our partners should promote environmentally friendly practices and minimize negative environmental impacts. This includes:
- Efficient use of resources
- Reduction of emissions and waste
- Compliance with all relevant environmental laws
- Commitment to environmental protection and offering eco-friendly and sustainable solutions
- Reduction of ecological impact
- Sustainable and thoughtful resource use
Sustainability in Subcontractors
If partners work with subcontractors, we expect them to ensure these subcontractors align with comparable regulations and expectations.
Implementation
WUM Brand Spaces reserves the right to terminate relationships with suppliers whose practices do not meet our ethical, social, and environmental standards.
We encourage all partners to report observed violations of the Code of Conduct to [email protected]. This applies to violations by other suppliers as well as misconduct by WUM employees.
