Blopost updated January 2018
The WindEnergy Hamburg, which was first hosted in 2014, is now the world’s largest wind industry congress. As the wind capital of Europe, Hamburg invites wind industry decision-makers from all over the world to the Hanseatic city. Only trade visitors are admitted to WindEnergy.
Why the wind direction in the wind sector sometimes turns fast is one of the main interests of WindEnergy Hamburg. Markets change when decreasing wind power expansion in the countryside meets increasing energy generation through offshore plants in the coastline of the oceans. The demand for energy is growing worldwide. The demand for renewable energies is increasing due to the increasingly uncertain supply of other energy providers.
The leading international trade fair for wind energy is held in even calendar years. It alternates here with HUSUM Wind, which in odd-numbered years focuses more nationally on the German-speaking market.
WindEnergy Hamburg – opening up new international markets
WindEnergy Hamburg will be held for the third time in 2018. Exhibitors present a wide range of their products such as rotors, gears, foundations, wind turbines, wind turbines and wind farms. Specialised services will be on the agenda as well as general export opportunities, the opening up of new markets and the further development of the industry.
Wind measurements will also be demonstrated live. Trade visitors will experience the complete value-added process in the onshore and offshore wind industry spread over nine halls.
The business climate at the trade fair enriches an increased internationality. In 2016, Windenergy showed 1400 exhibitors from 34 nations, around 44 percent of whom were from abroad. Of the approximately 35,000 visitors, around 40 percent came from abroad.
According to a representative visitor survey conducted by an independent market research institute, around 60 percent of the trade visitors visited the world’s leading trade fair to initiate new business contacts. WindEnergy Hamburg offers practical, mobile information in the run-up to the trade fair as a free app.
